My grandma was born in California in 1925. She had three sisters and two brothers. They lived happily together with her mum's sister and brother. In 1937, she left school and started working in a local tin factory. She was a real workaholic. The work wasn't easy. They had to put sardines in tins, pack them and pin the label on them. One of the workers could make more than 200 tins per shift. My granny packed more than 300 every day. She became the worker of the month eight times. Later, the company sent her to the main office in Los Angeles, where she met Mr Harlew. They fell in love. Their wedding took place on the beach in Hawaii. She described it as the most exciting day of her life. They had four kids: a girl, a boy and two twins. Martin is my twin. Later, when my dad retired, we moved to Texas. The family bought a picturesque house on the top of a hill. My family has lived's livedhave lived've lived here for more than 20 years. Every summer, my dad grows fresh vegetables in the greenhouse in the yard. He has been's been a keen gardener all his life. We have made've made many friends in Texas. Every weekend we visit them to discuss local events and tell jokes.
